“Life Empowerment Project through Acquiring Advanced Tailoring Skills” Graduation Ceremony (June 20th, 2014)

On June 20th, Ambassador Ogawa and his wife attended the graduation ceremony organized by a Japanese NPO called Reborn Kyoto. The organization has been conducting“Life Empowerment Project through Acquiring Advanced Tailoring Skills”, which is supported by the Government of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO project. This three years project aims not only providing trainings but also promoting youth employment and income generating activities. The first year, 48 trainees completed and graduated on that day.
Ambassador Ogawa gave his remarks at the ceremony, and congratulated all trainees and expressed his pleasure of this first year’s great success. In addition, he promised that the Government of Japan will continue to support this project. Thus, he wished more success and encouraged trainees.
