Cultural Event “Japanese Film Festival” (25th-27th February, 2015)


From 25th to 27th February 2015, the Embassy of Japan together with the Goethe-Institut Kigali (German Cultural Center) co-organized “Japanese Film Festival” at the Goethe-Institut in Kigali City.

During the three days festival, six Japanese films* were screened and the audience enjoyed them which are rarely seen in Kigali. On the opening day, the audience was made up of Rwandan Government officials and diplomats as well as people in the film industry, and they also attended the reception and exchanged their views on various topics.

*  Wednesday, 25th of February “Waterboys” and “Three for the Road”
  Thursday, 26th of February “The Chef of South Polar” and “Osaka Hamlet”
  Friday, 27th of February “Children Who Chase Lost Voices” and “Shodo Girls!!”
