Attendance of the African Development Bank 49th Annual Meetings (21st to 23rd May, 2014)
From 21st to 23rd of May, Mr. Hiroshi Yamamoto, Parliamentary Secretary for Finance, attended the Annual meetings of African Development Bank (AfDB) which was held in Kigali, Rwanda. He also visited Japanese ODA project sites, the Rwanda Stock Exchange and the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center.
On 21st , Parliamentary Secretary visited the project called “Life Empowerment Project Through Acquiring High Level Cloth Fabrication Skills” (Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Project by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan), and “KLab” which is an open space for young IT entrepreneurs to collaborate and innovate. In addition, he attended dinner hosted by Ambassador Ogawa with Japanese residents who live in Rwanda to exchange views at the Ambassador’s residence.

On 22nd, Mr. Yamamoto attended the opening ceremony of the African Development Bank 49th Annual Meetings. He also visited the Rwanda Stock Exchange in Kigali.

On 23rd, Parliamentary Secretary had bilateral meetings with Ambassador Gatete, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, and Dr. Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank respectively. Mr. Yamamoto also visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center and laid a wreath for the victims of Genocide.
