The Musha Women Workshop Opening Ceremony through Grass roots Human Security Project, 14th July 2011

On July 14th, the Musha women workshop launching ceremony funded by the Government of Japan took place in Rwamagana. The workshop consists of two separate rooms allowing different cooperatives to work together as well as store their products safely. Ambassador Hatanaka in his congratulatory address said that he was proud of Japan’s support to Rwanda, especially in achieving the MDGs and Vision 2020 through funding grass root projects in rural areas to fight against poverty. He also noted that the building can serve multiple purposes to benefit the local community and help them overcome poverty. The Mayor of Rwamagana, who attended the ceremony appreciated the timely support from the Government of Japan and urged the cooperatives to maximize on the use and care of the building for their good benefit.
