The Birthday Celebration of His Majesty The Emperor of Japan on 28th November 2013

On 28th November, the reception on the occasion of the birthday celebration of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan took place at the Ambassador's residence. Hon. Louise Mushikiwabo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda attended as a guest of honour.
              In his speech, Ambassador commended the strategies to strengthen for further economic growth in Rwanda as it is on the “right track” in ICT, finance, air transportation and others. Moreover, he emphasized the Government of Japan’s will to continue to reinforce economic cooperation followed by the commitments of the fifth Tokyo International Conference on African Development V (TICAD V). Minister Mushikiwabo made a speech and expressed Rwanda’s gratitude for the visit of President Kagame to Japan during TICAD V and fruitful talks with Prime Minister Abe.
              Hon. Mugabo, Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister and several members of parliament also attended the reception. The reception offered a good opportunity for different guests including diplomatic corps to exchange views on various issues among them.
              The guests also enjoyed Japanese Sake (rice wine) including the one which was made in the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, offered during the reception.
