Ambassador attends the graduation ceremony at Tumba College of Technology (TCT), 27th January 2011

 

On 27th, Ambassador Hatanaka attended the first graduation ceremony at Tumba College of Technology. Funded in 1993 by the Japanese Grant Aid, TCT has been one of the two colleges in Rwanda to offer A1 level technical courses since 2007 to which Japan offers technical support, “the Project for Strengthening the Capacity of TCT.” Ambassador Hatanaka, in his congratulatory address, said that he was very proud that Japan was involved in the common goal of the development of Rwanda aiming at a knowledge-based and technology-led economy, and encouraged the graduates for their continuous dedication and aspirations for the development of the country. The ceremony was attended by Hon. Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, Dr. Harebamungu, who commended Japan’s hands-on support of the college.
