Japanese Drum Concert Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Rwanda: Report


On 8th and 9th October, a Japanese Drum Group held a concert in Kigali to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Rwanda. A workshop and mini-concert were held on 8th October at Umuco Mwiza School supported by Japanese aid. About 80 people including students, their parents and teachers were invited and they enjoyed the music and the drums. The other concert was held in Kigali at Serena Hotel on 9th October. Around 600 people consisted of ministers and government officers attended the concert and enjoyed Japanese as well as Rwandan music played by the drummers.
