“Life Empowerment Project through Acquiring High Level Cloth Fabrication Skills” Graduation Ceremony (June 19th, 2015)

 On June 19th, Mr. Sakamoto, charge d' Affaires ad interim at the Embassy of Japan, and his wife attended the graduation ceremony organized by NPO called Reborn Kyoto. The organization has been conducting “Life Empowerment Project through Acquiring High Level Cloth Fabrication Skills”, which is supported by the Government of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO project. It aims at providing trainings to young Rwandans, as well as promoting youth employment and income generating activities. This second year, about 50 trainees graduated.

 The graduation ceremony began with the national anthems of Japan and Rwanda, followed by awarding the certificates to the graduates. In addition, there was a fashion show conducted by the trainees with their products. Mr. Sakamoto, charge d' Affaires ad interim at the Embassy of Japan, gave his remarks in Kinyarwanda and congratulated all trainees who completed the second year, he added that the Government of Japan would continue to support this project, and he wished more success and encouraged trainees in the final year.
