Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) (7th March 2013)
On 7th March, the Embassy signed the contracts amounting up to 316,410 USD under the scheme of the grant assistance for human security grassroots projects (GGP) with three local NGOs. Association des Veuves du Genocide AGAHOZO, one of the NGOs is going to construct a community centre to empower the widows of Genocide. Gira Impuhwe Association has a plan to construct a kindergarten in Nyanza where the development of preschool education is still lagging behind. ARECO-RWANDA NZIZA (Rwandese Association of Ecologists) will build a storage facility and water tanks in Burera district to ensure good production of potatoes, one of the main products in the region. The Embassy has been extending assistance to different grassroots activities in order to contribute to Rwanda's achievement of Vision 2020.
