SMART RWANDA DAYS

 The Ministry of Youth and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), in partnership with the World Bank, hosted a two-day conference “Rwanda Smart Days” on 17th and 18th June, 2013. Ambassador Ogawa attended the final session on the second day and made a closing remarks introducing a Japanese expert who contributed to drafting National ICT Strategic and Action Plan Phase III (NICI III) and K-Lab (Knowledge-Lab) which provides open technology space for people, and the symposium at the TICAD V under the theme of “ICT innovation with collaboration between Rwanda and Japan”, and wishing Rwanda effectively achieves its economic growth through utilization of ICTs.

This conference aimed at discussing possible smart solutions for transparent, accountable, and responsive service delivery to citizens through utilization of ICTs and innovative approaches by bringing together the Government of Rwanda, international experts, civil society, private sector, and donor communities.
