2017/9/8
The inauguration ceremony of the Project for Expansion of School Building at Kabgayi Technical School took place in Nyamabuye sector, Muhanga District, Southern Province on August 31. The Government of Japan provided 76,892 USD for the project, which was implemented by Association pour la Formation Professionnelle (AFP). Under the project, 10 classrooms and 2 workshops including a storage space were newly constructed at Kabgayi Technical School, which reduce the number of students per classroom and improve the learning environment.
H.E. Mr. Takayuki Miyashita, Ambassador of Japan to Rwanda, said in his remarks, “I am delighted to observe that the construction was completed successfully so that over 1,000 students have already enjoyed an improved learning environment. On this new school building, you are requested to keep it clean so that the future generation can study here as well. I see that the technical skills that students can learn here will take this country to the middle income country in the future.”
The legal representative of AFP, Mr. Vincent Sibomana, appreciated the assistance of the Government of Japan. The Mayor of Muhanga, Madam Beatrice Uwamariya, thanked the Government and people of Japan for all the support and hoped that Rwanda and Japan would continue to have a close relationship in showing the readiness of the mutual cooperation with different partners.
