The Government of Japan provided support to Gira Imphuwe in 2016 to build the nursery school. Since its establishment, the need for enrollment into the school has increased and as a result, the school now doubles as a nursery and primary school.

Ambassador IMAI said “it is our pleasure to see the development of the school which was built with Japan’s support in 2016. I hope that the school will be able to accommodate more children after the constructions so that their school environment as well as the quality of basic education in the region will be improved”.

Ms. Drocella MUKARUGWIZA, Legal Representative of Gira Imphuwe NGO, said that “we express our gratitude towards Japan and the people of Japan for the support of not only this time but also last time. This support contributed to the improvement of a quality of education, so that Rwandans won’t go abroad to study for better education. With the construction of the new classrooms, we will be able to accommodate more children in future.”
