*Only the applicants with 70% or higher average grade of the last university program (NOT merely the last year of the degree program but the average grade of the entire degree program) are eligible to apply.

※If you come to JICA on the last day of the deadline, we may not be able to accommodate you.

April 23 - May 29, 2026	Application Screening All applications are submitted to JICA Burundi Field Office during its working office hour.*           *Office Hours : Monday to Thursday  8:00 -12:30, 14:00 -17:00   : Friday  8:00 -13:00 Dearline: Friday, May 29, 12:00   <<First Screening>> NOTE: The result of document screening, written examination and interview will be informed to the successful candidates only.   (1) Document Screening  The screening result will be disclosed to the successful candidates in the middle of June.
End of June (June 25th*) *The schedule is tentative.	(2) Written Examination (in Bujumbura, online exams are not permitted) The written examinations of language proficiency will be on Japanese and English. *Please check here to view past exams.
Middle of July (July 15th*) *The schedule is tentative.	(3) Interview  It will be held in Bujumbura.
November	<<Second Screening conducted by MEXT>> The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan will select the candidates according to the application documents and first screening results.
January - February, 2027	Final Results
