"5th Edition JKA Technical Seminar and Dan Grading" Opening Ceremony

On August 14, Mr. Isao Fukushima, Ambassador of Japan, attended the opening ceremony of the "5th edition Japan Karate Association Technical Seminar and Dan Grading" held at the Paralympic Gymnasium. A total of 5 sensei led by Master Masaru Kamino (8 dan) from Japan Karate Association in Fukuoka came for this event all the way from Japan. This time, participants were not only from Rwanda, but also from neighboring African countries.

In his speech, Ambassador Fukushima expressed his gratitude to the Japan Karate Association Rwanda for its activities of promotion of karate in collaboration with many other partners in Japan and all over the world since its establishment in Rwanda in 2015. He also stated that it is a great pleasure to support the activities of karate-ka in Rwanda in promoting karate that contributes to mutual-understandings and peace. ​He also gave some words of encouragement to the participants in the dan grading.
