Ambassador’s remarks
Ambassador Miyashita said at the ceremony, “I would like to congratulate you on the completion of the dormitory. Just now I inspected the dormitory and the school. They have been maintained very cleanly and in a perfect condition. I am pleased that the Government of Japan is a part of the development of Rwanda and happy to hear that the dormitory can accommodate 400 students. I would like to ask children to make a good use of this facility and make great efforts for the bright future of Rwanda. If you undergo training as hard as you can here and get well-skilled, you would likely be able to get a good job and it allows you to have a better life. I am convinced that it will also eventually leads to further development of Rwanda in future. “

Mr. Gerard Hakiyimana, Head Master of Saint Joseph Nzuki TVET school, said “Thanks to the construction of the dormitory, 400 students can live there and undergo vocational trainings in a wonderful environment. Ambassador Miyashita gave us a chance to contribute to the national goals for “promotion of technical and vocational trainings.” This dormitory enables us to accommodate more students next year. We would like to express our sincere appreciation toward the Embassy of Japan in Rwanda for its continued support for our country. I promise you that this dormitory will be maintained properly and used for a long time.”
