“Life Empowerment Project through Acquiring High Level Cloth Fabrication Skills” Graduation Ceremony (June 24th, 2015)

On June 24th, Mr. Sakamoto, Chargé d' Affaires ad interim at the Embassy of Japan, and his wife attended the graduation ceremony organized by NPO called Reborn Kyoto. The organization has been conducting “Life Empowerment Project through Acquiring High Level Cloth Fabrication Skills”, which is supported by the Government of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO project. It aims at providing trainings to young Rwandans, as well as promoting youth employment and income generating activities. As this year mark the end of this three-year project, additional 29 trainees graduated from Reborn Kyoto. Given that this vocational training school will be taken over by Gacuriro VTC, Mr. Gasana, Director General of Workforce Development Authority (WDA), commended the Japanese Government for its active supports in vocational training sector. Mr. Sakamoto gave his remarks by congratulating all trainees who completed the course. He also mentioned that the Government of Japan wishes that this school graduates will contribute toward “Made in Rwanda” that the Government of Rwanda is promoting.
